Ohana Hawaiian Islands BBQ in Monterey Park

Ohana Hawaiian Islands BBQ is located at 2262 South Atlantic Blvd Monterey Park CA 323-721-9888. HMMmmmm, well, I was on my way to see the new Vincent Price Gallery at East LA College and did not have a lot of time so I pulled into the mall near the college and found Ohana. Remember Lilo and Stich? Ohana means "family". The service was good but the moment you walk in, you get the sense that this may not be so family, more like corporate Hawaiian food. I ordered the fish plate which was a snapper type of fish thats deep fried with batter. It was extremely simple in its presentation but guess what, not bad. It was actually very delicious, lots of rice, side mac salad and a cold drink. The place was packed. Well it's not the best Hawaiian food in the world but compared to other fast food choices in that area, it's a good choice.
