Tacos el Compita on Pico Blvd

The time artist Bryan Ida texted me and said he found the best taco in LA. WHAT? Of course I met him for lunch. The best , Bryan said, is the Lengua and Cabeza; tongue and cheek. How perfect is that? OK, it is delicious and affordable and very close to my house. Weeks later, I recommended it to poet Raquel Gutierrez, who said it was average. So I guess, it's completely a personal opinion. It's difficult for me to say anything like "this is the best taco in LA". That is a rough but I totally appreciate Bryan thinks so. It's nice when someone has a favorite.
