Italian Village in Chicago Il

I had a wonderful interview session with artist Maria Gaspar at the Chicago Art Institute, where she teaches. I asked her if there was any place she could recommend for dinner and she said if I like pasta, the Italian Village would be a fun place to eat. Located at 71 W Monroe St, Chicago, IL 60603, it is Chicago's oldest Italian Restaurant. OG it is and the pasta is OG as well. I am partial to places like this, with it's lusciously thick pasta and sweetly thick tomato sauce. The wine is table-wine and the salad is gigantic. I loved it and it was so delicious in both food and nostalgic ambiance.
