Coffee Shachu in Hamamatsucho, Tokyo Japan

In Japanese, the word "Sanpo" means to walk around. The connotation is exercise but also adventurer of sorts. Hence, Japanese neighborhoods are Sanpo-friendly. During my "Sanpo" in Hama-cho, I saw Coffee Shachu. The next morning, I was able to stop by. The coffee was an ethiopian blend and the egg sandwiches were excellent. The toasty exterior was unusual but I enjoyed them 100%.

 

The vibe inside this small one room cafe his austere and dark. The customers seemed to be all Japanese professionals. Some came to read a book, have a little meeting and/or just chill before their commute to work.

 

The staff seemed to be around my age if not slightly older. The barista seemed to be well grounded in his prsctice and had a quiet demenor. I enjoyed the place. It was stately and warm.
