Rooster on South Grand in STL

 Since my introduction to the STL DJ community in March of this year, I have been hearing about Slinger. While I was visiting two weeks ago, I finally got to try this savory local dish, designed to curer hangovers, OR so i thought.

The Rooster has two locations. One is in Downtown and this one is on South Grand 3150 S Grand, Saint Louis, MO 63118.

The base if fried potatoes with a fried egg and this one had gravy poured all over it. When I posted this on IG, the DJ's commented that this was not a Slinger. A sSlinger has chili poured over it not gravy. I couldn't believe it. This is a Slinger hybrid.

I'm going to STL in October 2026 so it'll have to wait, my Slinger maiden voyage!
