King G Tacos Catering Truck (Northridge)

I went to Northridge to see a concert at a church of a experimental music quartet that included Joe Baiza and William Roper. I hope you know who these two local legends are but if not, I encourage you to look them up. They are incredible musicians and individuals.

Afterwards, Roper and I went to a catering truck that was parked across the street form the church they performed in. A meal after a gig is tricky because you have to have parking that is visible from where you eat because of course your equipment is in the car.

King G Tacos was in eyes view and maybe more importantly in aromas view because Roper said he had smelled the deliciousness before the concert and made a mental note to eat there after the gig.

The owners of King G were super kind and nice. I was surprised that Roper ordered the slap burger which he said was one of the best he'd had which is saying something because 1) Roper is a chef and 2) Roper is part of the Composer's Burger Club I am also in and he's always highly critical.

My carne tacos were excellent and as Roper remarked stuffed with meat.

If I ver see these guys in the street, I will absolutely stop by, even if I am not hungry because it is totally worth it.
