Daichan in Studio City

I was recently told about Daichan but as I am finding out, many of my friends have known about this Japanese Food spot favorite for years. Located at 11288 Venture Blvd, LA CA 91604.

I ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry, a sashimi plate and a dessert called a Fluffy Cheesecake and it was very fluffy.

The service is fun and OG. The two women running the place seemed to have a colorful relationship were they worked well although at times it seemed contentious but soon you realize it's just they way they communicate. They were awesome and exciting to experience.

The interior is tremendous. Each wall is a Japanese folk art museum. If only i read Japanese, maybe i could tell were some of it was from? It was like a mysterious map of Japan.

The food was wonderful. i especially enjoyed my curry. it was slightly spicy and perfect for what was a cool and breezy morning.
