23rd Street Cafe near USC

Boaz and I just finished a tech test at One Archive and as we were driving away, feeling really good about the prep for Kaya Micro Operas, we decided to have dinner. Boaz said what about that cafe? which I had not even noticed on our way to One. Neither of us were familiar but Boaz said he felt a good vibe from the place and he was spot on.

The folks at 23rd Street Cafe were extremely sweet and welcoming. The moment you walk in , the aroma of the cooking puts you in complete ease. My guess is that most of their clientele order take out and most likely are students, staff or faculty of USC, given it's location.

The Tandoori lamb, as we were watching the Chef prepare it on its skewer was excellent. She saw us practically salivating and she gave us a smile and a laugh. We must have looked pretty hungry, which we were.

I rarley drink alcohol anymore but we both ordered a cold beer which of course heightened the joy of this meal. The melting butter on the nan says it all.
