Al Wazir Chicken in Hollywood

Marco Sanchez at Metro told me about this place years ago. It took me a while but I finally made it in for lunch a couple of weeks ago. Al Wazir Chicken is located at 6051 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood CA 90028. It's in a mini mall at the corner of Gower and Hollywood. I ordered the chicken kabob plate, #4 for $8.45. It was really delicious and the hummus was fresh and garlic saturated!!! I didn't get a welcoming feeling at first when I walked in. The regulars seemed to be working class Hollywood crew folk and local middle eastern folk. I was in my shirt and tie Metro look so I suspect i was odd as usual. By the time i got my order, I got a couple of smiles from the hostess and it was cool.
