Chips Cafe in Hawthorne CA

The Mardi Gras Omelette: turkey bacon, avocado, spinach, tomato and Jack cheese. Rye bread toasted and buttered. Located at 11908 Hawthorne Blvd, Hawthorne CA 90250 it even has a Wiki page.

This was my first time at the historic Chips. It was about 1PM so I think I just missed the lunch crowd.

I asked for recommendations and the server said the Mardi Gras was a good omelette. I was so happy that they regularly have Rye bread.

The tomatoes gave the omelette a juiciness that was refreshing. I also appreciated that they had cranberry juice.

I was very full by the time I finished my meal. I hope next time i can order the banana split. This is a lot of fun not just for its retro design by the servers are all very nice and welcoming. Parking in the back. I hope it's alright to say but Hawthorne needs a lot of TLC . When you drive down the street, there are so many closed storefronts. Grabbing a meal at Chips is a way to support this community while having a memorable culinary experience.
