LASUNG House on Olympic in Koreatown

 For months if not years, I've passed by LASUNG House, not knowing what they specialized in but often there was a crowd or a line to get in. I finally looked it up, pork cutlet. Aha!. I asked my friend Nora Kahn if she wanted to go with me and we enjoyed the fried cutlet and even the corn soup the meal opens with. The sauce on the cutlet is unusual and delicious. It tastes like it may be tomato based but i don't know for sure.

Several days later, I got together with another friend, Jean Park who just got back from a tour of Asia. She said she wanted to try this new place, it it was LASUNG. So this time I got the fried fish which was also wonderful.

The presentation of the cutlet is impressive but it's a little deceiving in that the cutlet is thin. it is still a large portion.
