Keiten Sushi in Koriyama, Fukushima, Japan

 

A visit thirty-five years in the making! LOL. My Aunt and her family have been asking me to visit them for over three decades. When they picked me up at the station, we decided to go to a keiten sushi place. In the hustle and bustle of it, I failed to take note of the address and name. Sorry about that. Maybe there are clues in the photos? I also can't read Japanese so maybe in time someone can tell me were this was. it was definitely in Koriyama.

It was a joyous reunion with my Aunt and the first time I met my cousins. I had mentioned that my jet lag stole my experience of eating crab in Sapporo so they ordered a crab leg for me, which we all laughed about.

Next time I make this trip and who knows when that will ever be, I need to give myself about four days to transition. The jet lag was really horrible and robbed me of a lot of eating experiences. What a rookie move!

ALSO, I wanted to say, I've never been to a bad keiten sushi place in Japan. it's all fresh and delicious. The fish slices might be thin at some places but then order double. LOL
