Jotmahal in Berkeley CA

I finally got to meet artist Colette Fu. She lives in Philly but we worked on a project when i was at Metro a very long time ago but it was all online. She told me she was gonna be in Cali so I drove up to see her. We fantasized that we would eat at Chepanise but they said no. It was kind of cold both the weather and the Chepanise vibe. Oh well. We walked down the block and found this Indian place. Jotmahal is located at 1543 Shattuck Ave, Berkeley, CA 94709 and is family run. The Father is the chef and makes everything from scratch. The kids are part of the staff. We got to meet the daughter who is currently a student at UC Berkeley. She was extremely sweet and disclosed a short summary of her family's story. Colette and I loved it. She couldn't be more charming. Angels, please look over this one. She is very special. The food was very good but nothing topped our server. Too awesome!!!
