Tacos Del Valle food truck in Mar Vista

I went to a Kaya Press event at Beyond Baroque in Venice Beach, part of this years Asian American Lit Festival. B Baroque is the City's oldest literary organization and this night was a celebration of San Diego Poet Laureate Jason Magabo Perez' new book "I Ask For What Falls".

Afterwards, i asked my friends Adriel and Lovely if they could recommend a local taco truck and this is the one they mentioned.

Tacos Del Valle is located on Washington and Centinela, in the parking lot of the comic book shop that used to be a gas station.

Quesadilla De Flor de Calabaza (Squash Blossom Quesadilla).

When this is listed on the chalk board as today's special, you order it with beans and rice. I also ordered the fresca cucumber and lemon.

I ate the entire meal, stood up, gathered my things and walked to the car and that's when they started to close shop. That's how you roll after a night of amazing poetry!!!
