New Khamara Restaurant in Chinatown

 

New Khamara Restaurant in Chinatown is located at 709 North Hill Street LA CA 90012.

In this mall is LA Contemporary Archives which houses the Ear Meal Webcast Collection, a project my friends and I worked on for seven years. Once in a while, I find something in storage that should be included and drop it off.

This time, it was around lunch so i decided to finally try New Khamara Restaurant. 

I had heard good things about this place. It was hard to choose between a soup/noodle dish, a rice dish, or porridge. I went with the porridge. i like how porridge always leaves me feeling rejuvenated, this Fish Porridge did so. I saw that they had fresh coconut juice so of course I ordered that. Check out this chili sauce, it elevated the porridge to a savory silkiness.

I look forward to my next trip to try one of the rice or noodle dishes.
