Gramaphone STL

@ 4243 Manchester Ave, Saint Louis, MO 63110 is a place that used to be a live house but is now a sandwich shop.

Everyone i mentioned this place to in STL had very high opinions about. So, I think we can all agree it's become a local favorite.

DJ Michael Bishop brought me to this spot two weeks ago and it was a very fun lunch place to experience. The place was hopping and I met some cool people there. It helps to be with Bishop. This is his home town.

That sandwich was exceptional. You can really taste the quality of each ingredient. That is not common. At one point, Bishop looked over at me and asked, "how are they making money on this?" meaning, everything is fresh, the bread is perfect, the portions are big, the quality is high. The price is remarkably low. Crazy? must be because they sell so much, the net margin is high?

The name of the place is good. it conjurs nostalgic emotions. Analog days, when a sandwich was a meal and constructed with fresh ingredients behind a butchers counter, a deli and wrapped in the same wax paper the meat and poultry is wrapped in.
