Dong Ting Noodle on Sawtelle

 Dong Ting Noodle, 1947 Sawtelle Blvd LA CA 90025. When I'm on Sawtelle, i think Japanese food but in fact, there are several Chinese food spots and a good Soon Tofu place as well. I met my friend/ mentor, Teresa Barnett, who up until a few years ago directed the oral history program at UCLA. Sawtelle Ave is of course UCLA territory and one can argue the revitalization of Sawtelle is in part due to the College Student Body from UCLA. Perhaps that's why there's so many places to eat that go beyond Japanese food. There's still a few OG stores from back in the day but for the most part, new shops here and there.

The noodles and dumplings were perfect for our reunion and we had a great time catching up.
