KISSA CORA in DTLA

Open 7 days a week and located at 1640 N Spring St, Ste A, Los Angeles, CA 90012, Kissa Cora is inspired by the Japanese Kissa-tens in Japan.

The music is played through two 12" QSC PA speakers and sound good in this space that's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. It's deep.

The menu also has some Japanese Kissa inspired items including this shokupan like toast. The spin is is that it appears to be fried in oil? The jelly was delicious. The bread is thinner than what you would get in Japan but it was delicious.

The latte was perfect for my late morning visit to what was a comfortable experience. There were a number of folks there, families, individuals and couples.

I also like how there a sitting experience for everyone; a skylit open space, a bar or counter, an outdoor seating area,  a semi-outdoor seating area, and a semi-secluded area where the speakers are.
