Ethel's Creole Kitchen in Baltimore MD

 During the Oral History Association Annual Conference, some of us were treated to a special tour of the Lillie Carroll Jackson Museum, during which, the subject of food came up. Our tour guide recommended Ethel's Creole Kitchen, located at 1615 Sulgrave Avenue Baltimore MD 21209. 

Naturally, I went within 24 hours.

The restaurant is in a up scale neighborhood. I saw a Whole Foods on my way to Ethel's. I ordered the Shrimp Gumbo, a salad and the fried oysters.

The server, who was super nice, said I can always bring some of it home. However, I was able to eat every morsel off my plate and bowls. That was delicious!!! I hope I can go back someday. This place is super special.
