Habuya Okinawa Dining in Tustin/ Orange County

 

I think someone mentioned this to me a while ago but then I saw a review of it on IG so I made plans to go see some museums in the OC and made my way to this shop at 14215 Red Hill Ave Tustin CA around 5PM when it opened. There were several folks waiting in front and then they were kind enough to let me know that there's a 90 min wait time and you have to RSVP through the Yelp app.

I was solo and knew there was a record shop near by so I RSVP'd and went the the shop. i was back an hour later and brought a book so i started reading. Within about ten minutes, I was texted that my table was ready.

I'll cut to the chase. It was so worth it to wait. I ended up sitting at the counter. it's not a big place but they are so popular, they even have a 90 min limit of how long you can dine there. Their hours are also limited, so check online what best suits you.

I learned that Orion beer is from Okinawa and they have it on tap. As an unfiltered beer, it is a delicous creamy beer when out of the tap. I highly recommend it.

I had the soba noodles with the pork. The tofu, potato fries, sashimi and the matcha terimasu. Everything was excellent. I'd love to go back again but this time I'll make reservations ahead of time.
