Hilltop Coffee + Kitchen on Slauson

Once in a while, I will get together with my friends Sheila Schoonhoven and Noel Korten who live near LAX-ish. The neighborhood is seeing changes again and Noel said there's a coffee place that opened up and is pretty good. Located at 4427 W Slauson Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90043, it's a locals owned shop called Hilltop. We ordered sandwiches and coffees and had a good conversation as we so often do. Afterwards, Noel gave me tour of the neighborhood. There's even a little art gallery now. The City Council office is trying to bring improvements with local's opening up shops but it ain't easy.
