Harbor Lights in Terminal Island
When you're on the St Vincent Thomas Bridge that links San Pedro and Long Beach, there's a couple of sings along the the way that talk about the Japanese Fisherman Memorial. Once upon a time, there was a robust Japanese population on Terminal Island. When WWII broke out, they all had to leave their property, lives and go into these internment camps. The government came the next week and bulldozed the entire village; a land grab.
Now there's a monument.
Near were the monument is, there's a cafe that has great fried fish/ fish n chips. it's at 748 Tuna St, San Pedro, CA 90731.
