L.A. Pupusa House on Melrose Ave

 Located at 4814 Melrose Avenue Los Angeles, CA 90029. The folks at L.A. Pupusa House are part of LA's Pupusa history. When they opened this shop in 2022, it was with great passion, advanced knowledge of how the Pupusa has evolved in El Salvador and a passion of our City.

My friend Jean sent me a link that L.A. Pupusa House was making pink Pupusa's as a fundraiser for the LA Soccer Team, Angel City. So I went this week and devoured two for lunch.

Excellent delicacies filled with cheese and Loroco, porks and beans. Every culture has a version of this food. To me, it's similar to Okonomiyaki. A hearty comfort food that is delicious and can be prepared simply or complex. I tend to like my Pupusas traditional but on the menu hear, you can get fun and delicious versions that exemplify how far this traditional dish has come and perhaps how expansive the El Salvadorian diaspora has become.
