Elorea in Koreatown
I was unusually walking around in Koreatown. I was hanging out with my friend Shan earlier and once we parted ways, i walked down 6th Street toward Western when I saw sign advertising a place called Elorea. It's in this iconic building that used to house a shop called Zen that I really liked. They had told me once about a special tower like structure on the roof that they would do events in but I'd never had the chance to check that out. On this sunny day last week, I saw that this place was on the 3rd floor. Could that be the roof and took the elevator up. Yup. Elorea is a trip. They have scents that they have also created drinks inspired by those scents. The scents are amazing but because there were so many of them, i decided to focus on a just a few and chose this one and then ordered the drink. It was an amazing pairing. I almost bought a tiny bottle of the scent but did not. Maybe next time. I have some friends who might like this spot. I felt since I have some experience with scent making and classes at Institute of Art and Olfaction, this place will require a few visits before I can digest the range they offer. 3511 W 6th St, Los Angeles, CA 90020
