The History of Coffee on Pico Blvd

 

Located at 3501 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90019 , The History of Coffee is a family run cafe who's location has been many establishments throughout the over one hundred years this building/ apartment has been around.

The History of Coffee is named for this very fact.

I love how the owner is roasting small batches for the store. That level of care is greatly appreciated and I look forward to going back and trying the various roasted grinds.

I went after lunch and ordered the croissant, which I keep doing, mistakenly. Croissants, if they aren't baked on the premises, are usual made in the morning and really are optimal for two hours, otherwise, the layers of butter harden and it looses it's fulffy-crispy- body. It sort of gets worse if you microwave it, although argeubly that is better than eating a clod croissant.

It's all about the coffee here and they do a great job with each brew.
