Bamboo Bistro in Panorama City

Bamboo Bistro is located at 8516 Van Nuys Blvd, Panorama City, CA 91402. I didn't know this but there's is apparently a Philippine community in this neighborhood. Michael is a co-worker at LA Department of Transportation (yes, I am no longer at Metro). Michael grew up in this area and introduced us to Bamboo Bistro after a focus group we conducted nearby for the Vision Zero Initiative. A regular and maybe almost like family, Michael seemed to know everyone there and we were treated really well, even though we never did sing Karaoke. Once we ordered, they brought banana leaves out spread them onto the table. The red rice, deep fried pork and egg rolls came in mounds and we ate with our hands. The beer was made by the San Miguel company in the Philippines but had a wonderful spicy taste, which went really well with the food. Great place. Thanks Michael!
