Shekarchi in Downtown LA

My, my, my. I believe this is the best Persian food I have ever had outside of artist Mona Kasra's kitchen. I was skeptical because, 1. Mona never mentioned this place, 2. Downtown LA?, and 3. It's not in a spectacular part of Downtown. Boy, was I surprised. The Ghormeh Sabzi Stew was so amazing, delicious and sophisticated. Full of fresh herbs and the beef was wonderful and tender. The Torshi, a kind of relish, was awesome on my Kebob. I can't wait to go back!
