Fat and Flour on Washington in Culver City

My friend and audio guru Paul Chavez invited me to a get together of artists, architects and writers. It was my first time at Fat and Flour on Washington Blvd., 11739 W Washington Blvd Culver City CA 90066. It was late afternoon and I was coming from Yong Soon Min's Memorial, so of course there was food at that event, so I opted for desert. The server recommended the Key Lime Pie, which well made but a bit too sweet for me. What I really enjoyed was the lavender tea, which I can't remember ever drinking before.

At this meeting or tea time, I finally got to meet the Butoh master Oguri. He's got that classic OG look with the wild hair and facial hair and was. very kind.

I've tried several time to grow lavender in my garden but it always fails. Rosemary, on the other hand, is abundant and my Yarrow comes and goes.

I really appreciate Paul building community and making this opportunity. I wonder if any collabs will come of it?

Loved reading this! It’s always fun discovering places that put real care into what they serve. Your visit to Fat and Flour reminds me of the time I found the best burger cafe in London—small spot, big flavors, and everything made fresh. Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll definitely check this place out if I’m ever in the area!
