IMO's STL
A regional chain store across the mid-west, IMO's created the St. Louis Pizza. It's a pizza on a thin, nearly cracker like crust.
They state it's a thin crust they cut into squares. Not a cracker?
Regardless, it was delicious. It's like an our d'oeuvres? I liked it. Even more head scratching is the cheese. Provel cheese. I have never heard of Provel cheese. link This was invented in St. Louis in 1947. It's a blended cheese so my friends incorrectly stated it's not a real cheese, as in Velveeta, which is a saturated fat composite. In other words, there's no dairy product. Anyway, Provel is made of dairy products.
Is this a pizza? I think it is. As oppose to a cracker with a topping. Well, that bread with the tomato sauce and cheese you buy in the frozen section calls itself pizza, so this can call itself a pizza.
Now for the fried ravioli. I didn't quite enjoy those. I think maybe this is an acquired taste.
