Amboy Burgers in Chinatown

 Amboy Burgers in located at 727 N Broadway LA CA 90012. If the address sound familiar, it's because it's a mall that runs from Hill to Broadway and has had a series of great places to eat like Roy Choi's Chego, PHO 170, etc. Scoops is there as well as Endorphine (which it looks like the remodeled).

This was last week, the Composer's Burger Club convened after not being active for quite sometime and it had been a while since we all were present. Great to see these salty dudes.

The menu if filled with variations of a burger. It's a smash burger and I got the Amboy Double Patty with a side of chili. The side of chili is not on the menu but they accommodated me and I really appreciated that. This way, I was able to share the chili for those who did not order a burger with chili and of course it goes well with the fries. I liked the fries very much: thin & crispy. The chili was exceptional. There's steak in there, I think. it's just a good tasting chili.

This was one of the better burgers we have had in that it seemed like everyone liked it even Roper who is always very critical of what we eat. Roper is an exceptional chef. He even brought us some fig jams he made, which was so nice of him.

They also have pies. At first, it felt like they were over priced. $12 for a small portion in a plastic see through container. I bought it anyway and it turned out to be good. i only wish they had coffee.
